Look I'm swimming

This is Bre, Zackary's swim instructor. My stepsister graciously let us use her pool for swim lessons. As much as Zackary likes water he's definitly not a fish. He gave swimming his best shot-maybe next year he'll like it more.

My First Preschool Days

Well it's official...school has begun. Little does he know that for the next 22-24 years of his life he'll be in school. Isn't that crazy! He did really good though. We went to his classroom a couple times before school started, he met his teachers, and some other classmates and checked the school out. He has his lunch pail in hand and he was ready to go!

One last kiss...for my baby...well my big boy now-baby always to mommy.

Here is his classroom. He did good the first day minus crying when I left and not wanting to pee while there. He goes twice a week for 4 hours a time. He is taking awhile to warm up to the thought that we aren't there to play with him and he has to be around all these children. But I can say 3 weeks in now and he's peeing there and doing so much better. He still gets really sad when I drop him off compared to my mom or Ben...but he's super attached to me so I am not surprised.

Here is Ms. Maso

and Mrs. Conger
We are so proud of you honey. Preschool is a huge milestone for everyone, but you are doing great. Don't grow to fast, ok! We love you.

Zackary's 3rd Birthday

Apparently time flies quicker when you have children because I can't believe it's been 3 years since I had him. This past year he has grown up so much...I think his sister has aged him. He is talking so much more and the things out of his mouth are hysterical. Last night he told me "mommy I love your outfit"-I got teary eyed! He is a very gentle little boy that's loving and sweet and 100% a momma's boy. The two of us have so many inside jokes! We bought him this train set last Christmas and he goes in and out of playing with it. Right now, he's into it and Emeline isn't allowed to touch it. Little does he know what she'll be getting into as soon as she can pull her self up.

I put Emeline in her ice cream tutu that our dear friends bought for her. She didn't last long in it but isn't she cute. We had a birthday beach party for Zackary...he loved it, playing in the sand the whole time and eating his cake. I apparently didn't get any pictures on my camera of his party except this one!

He loves wiping his sunflower seed butter all over his face-it actually cracks me up. I just let him do it and have fun with it...he's always been such a clean eater.
Some new things my son's doing:
"being a punk," says dad
he likes to tell me the itinerary for the day
is playing all by himself at the park so much more
says hello to everyone
helps in the garden, picks and loves to eat all the tomatoes
collects tomato worms
singing a lot of songs-favorite-baa baa black sheep
repeats books in his bed Brown Bear Brown Bear-it's so cute
in preschool soon
completely potty trained, pacifier trained, pretty much out of his highchair (sees Emme in it and wants to sit in it too), but still sleeping in crib...which is ok by me!
talks to bentley telling him to eat his food...so funny...and helps me by walking him (holds leash)
He is doing so much better since his huge regression 8 months ago. He's back to loving going to the mall again and so many more places. Haven't tried out to eat again, but will soon.

Happy 3rd Birthday my little man. Daddy and I love you to the moon, moon, moon, moon and back, back, back, back....

Emme's Baptism

Emeline did so good at her baptism. She has two godmothers-my sister and a very close friend MM. Her godfather is Ben's brother. We had her baptized at the Serbian Orthodox church that my family has grown up going to, as well as where her brother was baptized. The ceremony was beautiful, special and memorable.

This was the only part she didn't care for to much-being dunked in the holy water. Wish we could see her face.

Zackary was asked to walk around the alter with the Father. He held the cross at first and then just wanted his burp cloth. He was enthralled the whole baptism and I think secretly happy that he wasn't the one going through it. After the baptism Ben and I held a brunch at my Aunt's house. The day was perfect!

Emeline at 7 and 8 months

Emme is growing fast every day. I didn't post on her 7 month or 8 month dates-so much going on, but here are some things she has been doing.
We drove to my godfathers Memorial Day for a family reunion and her and Zackary did so well. She was passed from person to person and until the very end (about an hour after her bedtime) she was happy and enjoying all different people and sounds. Isn't she cute in her dress with Baba. It was super hot that day too. Thank gosh they had a fountain-Zackary didn't leave it's sight!

Emme sits up really well and has been for awhile. Her latest accomplishment is scooting and turning all over the floor. I can tell she likes her new found crawling ability. She gets bored super duper easily and doesn't want to play with her toys anymore...she wants new things to look at and do. She is so easy going with new places, people, everything. It's something I am not that use to because Zackary wasn't really like that. She loves is being in her Bjorn, especially with daddy. She loves watching Bentley and will perform acrobats to be able to watch him, and she loves it when Zackary plays peek a boo with her!

I think she would be happy staying in the bath for hours...but so would I!

Her Aunt bought her a beautiful bracelet for her baptism gift and when I put it on her she couldn't stop checking it out. I think she loved it.

What a cute mischievous look! I am such a good eater...I just don't like peas so far! Spinach is a little yucky but I can tolerate it! I love pear...yummy...and can't wait for peach and nectarine...that's next says mommy!
Today she was saying Dada constantly...she's been hanging out with him all day. They went to the farmers market...and now they are out on a walk. It's so cute...Daddy's little girl!

"Oh that's what you meant when you said watch out for the bees."

Poor Zackary had his first bee sting today. He was watering the yard as usual and I know a mean bee was hiding and at the right moment buzzed out and got him! He was crying...but mom got the stinger out and put some baking soda on it and ice pack! He was fine about 2 hours later. I am just relieved that he wasn't allergic. It was such a small stinger...I could barely get it...but my good old Master Card did the trick! I had to get a stinger out of Bentley's paw once...that was tricky! My grandma was holding him down as I was trying to get it. Comical.
Anyway, some lentil soup, pizza and brownies cured him! Thank god!

White Ball

Zackary has become infatuated with golf, he calls it "white ball." He practices, watches it and Daddy even brings him home some balls from work. He would prefer watching golf over cartoons! He also watches, "orange ball" and baseball!!! I am happy that he likes sports. A well rounded boy!
