Los Osos to Visit Jedo and Baba

You had a lot of fun visiting your Grandparents.  You played soccer with Ryan, went on a hike along Morro Bay, ate Jedo's infamous taquitos, watched the Formula One races with Jedo, cuddled with dogs, played with chickens, picked fruit, learned how to play Chinese Checkers and did the famous Easter Egg roll down the driveway.  Sam joined us but his egg didn't win.  Baba won!   It was a fun trip.  On the way home the hills in Ventura were covered with mustard-yellow for miles!  My favorite and quite the sight to see. 

Easter Day

Yeah, it's Easter morning!!  I love watching you find and open each basket from the Easter Bunny.  This year you guys got some really cool things and had so much fun finding all the eggs.  

Then we headed over to Grandma's for another Easter egg hunt more baskets, food and Easter games.  Below we are playing the crack the egg game and both of you did really really well.  Emme you are cracking eggs with Grandma and your cousin Britney.  

Colorful Dye Time

 Each year we see how creative we can get with our Easter egg dying.  More intense color, more stickers, more drawings, more EGGS....I take the pictures and dye an egg or two but what I really love about this hour is watching you both, feeling your happiness and excitement for Easter day.

The Marble Craze

For awhile in first grade your school friends and you became really involved with marbles.  Your favorite thing was to trade your marbles for better ones and come home to show me your latest trade.  You memorized all the marble sizes and names and even taught us all how to play marbles.  But the time came when to many marbles were coming to school with each kid and the principal decided to restrict the playing and trading.  It was fun while it lasted though!

Great Aunt Birthday Celebration

You guys were so lucky that Aunt Beverly was in town for her birthday.  How unique and special that were able to play games with GG and Beverly together.  That was fun to watch.  Below we are celebrating her birthday with an Italian feast!  She loved reading the books you both made her and hearing you sing Happy Birthday.  It was a fun night.

Mastering the Monkey Bars

Emeline's main mission in T-K was to master the monkey bars...and she did it.  Practicing multiple times a day, getting blisters and being kicked when she fell, she never gave up.  Good Job!  Another milestone.
